My very talented teenage granddaughter had a difficult time with some of the parts. Better instructions would have helped
Got this as a gift for my brother in law. Turns out he already had this exact one so I returned it, but this is an awesome puzzle and it lights up!
My man is a LEGO guy and likes to build. I decided to try a different approach and got him something cool enough to display in any room. Fully functional. Great size. AMAZING DETAIL!
Love the structure of this globe. Definitely meant as a technical activity to assemble. I let my daughter get a head start and she already built around the lamp without testing it. It did not turn on. We went on to at least have it for display. I tested the wires and saw power going into it just fine, but polarity was BACKWARDS! This is the 2nd chinese electronic I've had this year with reversed contacts on the switch board, so it was no surprise. It is already outside the return window due to being a Christmas gift, so I rewired it and now lights up. My kids love it, but the poor, simple factory mistake is unacceptable. Be sure to test it like the instructions do mention.
It is a neat finished product, but the manufacturing tolerances are sloppy. Pieces break and splinter too easily, the wax and sanding helps only slightly.Once you have it constructed, I recommend leaving it in the position you want it to be…..forever.
